The traditional Restaurant "Oinopoiio" is located just a few meters from the center of the city's old market, on the picturesque paved alley of Chatzimichali Daliani in a Venetian building dating back to 1618. It once housed a small Winery and Distillery business, owned by Georgios Apostolakis, and during the pre-war years it was also a pub. Restored in 1996, this unique space was created with respect to the building's architecture, giving the feeling and aura of another era. In the restaurant rooms, decorated with taste and enthusiasm, traditional Cretan cuisine dishes are served daily, prepared with local ingredients and cooked in extra virgin olive oil. You will find many varieties of bulk wine as well as bottled wine, a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service, in a place where food is ultimately a way of life. |
